DHL Surcharges – January 2026

We have recently received an update from DHL regarding adjustments to their surcharge structures. To ensure you have ample time to prepare, we are sharing a summary of these changes, which will take effect on 1 January 2026:

  • Non-Conveyable Piece: This surcharge will now apply to pieces under 25 kg if they have the potential to become entangled with or damage other packages. This includes packaging with wheels, straps, handles, cylindrical shapes, or incomplete encasement.- Thie is a fee of £25.00
  • Oversize Piece: The criteria for this surcharge are changing. It will now apply if the longest side exceeds 100 cm OR the second-longest side exceeds 80 cm. This is a fee of £35.00+ VAT for UK bookings and £50 for any international bookings.
  • Non-Stackable Pallet: This surcharge will now be applied to all palletised shipments weighing 25 kg (56 lb) or more. – This is a charge of £350.00

DHL has stated these updates are designed to align with industry standards and reflect current operational realities. We encourage you to review your packaging and palletisation methods to minimize any unexpected costs.
