We would like to share a brief update on the current U.S. tariff position affecting UK exports.
Following a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling, tariffs previously introduced under IEEPA have been stopped. These have been replaced with a temporary import duty under Section 122 of the U.S. Trade Act of 1974.
The Section 122 rate is currently 10% and could increase to 15%. This is a temporary measure applied for an initial period of up to 150 days (effective from 24 February 2026), unless it is formally approved or extended by Congress.
Please note that there is currently no confirmed process for refunds regarding the previous IEEPA tariffs.
